I think that's what they are saying but I have been confused before Unlike LR, where its major functionality stops working if you don't continue to pay, you can continue to use your version of Topaz as per usual with a perpetual license. I think they are confusing people by using the word subscription. There example seems to be just the normal perpetual license situation with the added benefit of avoiding the "I purchased V2 and two months later V3 came out and I don't get a free update" problem:-)
